200ml fresh lemon juice
500g fine sugar

Ingredients for the Drink (produces 850ml, to serve 10)

400ml premium vodka
100ml London dry gin

Whole cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing

Directions

For the Syrup: Place all the items in a pan, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, mixing until the sugar dissolves. Then, take off the stove and leave to reach room temperature entirely. Pour to a sterilised bottle, cap it and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, where it will keep for up to a month.

For the Premix: Pour the specified spirits and syrup in a large bottle, let it rest for an hour, then strain preferably using cheesecloth, to ensure it's perfectly clear.

When ready to serve: Measure 85ml from the cocktail base to a cocktail shaker filled with ice, gently stirring gently for one minute to chill. Strain to a frosted cocktail glass or similar, decorate with some cranberries and complete it with a brief mist of mandarin oil over the top.
